Kim Schoenle, MA, LMHCA: Welcome! I consider it an honor to serve in this field and am available to discuss your personal mental health goals.  I bring experience with both individuals and groups, and it is my privilege to work with adults, couples, and children experiencing such issues as anxiety, depression, and relational conflict.   I have received additional experience and training in the areas of marital/ premarital counseling, addiction, and the treatment of OCD. Currently I am practicing under the supervision of Kim Fish, LCSW.

Education and Professional Qualifications

I received a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Indiana University in 1997, which allowed me the opportunity to serve youth as they exited the foster care system.   Additionally, I have spent time in ministry, and my involvement in leading church counseling offered me the opportunity to become certified in Prepare/Enrich for couples.  This influenced the decision to further my education in the counseling field. After earning a Masters Degree in clinical mental health counseling from Cornerstone University, I worked with the Parkview Behavioral Health Institute before joining the Clarity Counseling team.

Theoretical Counseling Approach

My theoretical approach is rooted in a compassionate and collaborative process in which we will work together to meet your unique therapeutic goals.  I work from a strengths-based integrative approach, conceptualizing each person holistically with physical, emotional, social, occupational, and spiritual facets.  I am certified as a Prepare/Enrich facilitator for marital and premarital counseling, as well as holding a certification in telehealth for mental health professionals. I am a current member of the ACA and ASERVIC and am pleased to incorporate a faith based approach for those who desire this perspective.
